Music is a
class where all students are to be actively engaged in
activities that represent a wide range of musical processes. The
goal of the music program at Marbut Theme School is to provide students with
opportunities to develop knowledge and understanding of music through
consistent interaction with the basic components of music. Third through fifth grade students are
expected to bring a folder with paper to each music class as it will serve as
their music journal. Fourth and fifth
grade students will also have the opportunity to audition for the Marbut Show
Choir, which is a group that will meet after school from 2:15until 3:15 on
Mondays. The date for the audition is TBA. Also, be sure to remind your student
that his/ her participation and following directions is always expected in
Music. I am looking forward to a
successful year as we learn different aspects of music.
